I joined the council back in the summer, just before lockdown! During my time on the council, I hope to help the village achieve more of what the residents want and need. I have lived in the countryside most of my life. The village in Cambridgeshire where I grew up, is mostly arable, like Laneham. I grew up around horses, participating in eventing to intermediate level. I have been married to my husband Robert for nine years and have two children & three dogs.
I stepped out of teaching 3 years ago, wanting a change from running art departments. I have retrained as a historical object conservator. I still love to paint and draw; my favorite subject is the countryside, using print and paint to capture it. Laneham has many creative and knowledgeable people and a rich, interesting history. I would love for the actions of the council to further enrich the lives of the residents of the villages through utilising our strengths.
